Our workshops start at 9:30 and finish by 1:30 and are held in our gorgeous garden sewing room in Tunbridge Wells. There is a maximum of two families on this workshop so they are small, friendly, fun and you get your project finished with lots of support.
The cost for this workshop is £45.00 per family.
In this workshop you will learn: -
The parts of the Sewing Machine and what they do
How to thread a Sewing Machine
The bobbin – how to thread and fill
How to practice speed control
And lots of tips
A quick break for tea/juice and cake before you start on your projects
Your Project - Totebag, Apron, Skirt or Bunting
How to cut and measure fabric – simple pattern making
Seams and how to finish to prevent fraying
How to easily personalise your project (Apron's and Bunting can be personalised too)
Lots of tips on how to finish your project
You will also get a workbook full of tips and instructions on how to make your project again!
Fabric guidelines: - You will need cotton/heavy weight cotton. I will email you details of how much fabric you will need to bring.
We have linked up with the wonderful Elephant in my Handbag for your fabric. The week before the workshop Stephanie will be opening up her amazing fabric heaven to help you choose your fabrics - I will also be on hand as well to help!
We use Janome sewing machines in our workshops but if you have your own sewing machine and want to use it then please do bring yours.
